When you come in for your initial visit please be sure to bring your dental insurance card and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so. Please bring a list of any medications you are taking. If you need antibiotics prior to dental work, please take them as prescribed. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to your visit.

Your first visit begins with a comprehensive oral evaluation. Our team will develop a treatment plan to help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about treatment options during your visit.

Whether you just need a cleaning, filling, or a brand new smile, we are here to help. Great dental care doesn’t just make for a fantastic smile, it also helps promote overall health and wellness. If you have a special occasion coming up or just want to brighten your smile, ask us about whitening or other cosmetic dental options. We want you to have the confidence to share your smile with the world!

Our goal is always to help our patients maintain their oral health and to care for and protect their natural teeth.

Maintaining oral health includes good home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, which includes oral examinations and cleanings. Even with excellent care, however, teeth and gums can be susceptible to disease, infection, cavities, cracks, or other forms of damage.

Comprehensive examinations of the mouth, teeth, surrounding gum tissues, and supporting bone structures help with early detection and treatment of problematic conditions. Restorative dentistry is the aspect of dentistry that helps maintain oral and overall health even when the health of one or more teeth or the surrounding areas is compromised.

Restorative dentistry helps preserve natural teeth. The goal of restorative dentistry is to restore the function and integrity of the tooth structure, function, and health, while maintaining a natural appearance.

Our office also specializes in cosmetic dentistry. This means that we not only pay attention to the health and function of your teeth, but we also pay close attention to aesthetics. We want you to maintain great oral health but we also want you to have a beautiful smile and the confidence to smile often!

Comprehensive Dental Exam

The dental examination is a diagnostic evaluation of a patient’s overall oral health and hygiene.

During a dental examination, the doctor or hygienist may...

  • Check for signs of decay or periodontal disease
  •  Ask about any medications
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Evaluate occlusion (bite)
  • Evaluate jaw
  • Discuss proper cleaning
  • Remove stains or debris
  • Take a dental impression

The doctor or hygienist may also perform an oral cancer exam. This involves feeling around the cheeks, gums, and tongue, under the jaw, and the sides of the neck for signs of oral cancer.

Dr. Sherzoy is terrific! I’ve been a patient of hers for years and never hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family. She not only cares about her patients’ dental/oral health but also their overall health and personal lives. She clearly explains next steps and procedures and constantly checks in with you about your comfort during procedures. Her staff is supportive and helpful.

Dr. Sherzoy and her staff have been providing me with wonderful service for several years. The office is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Dr. Sherzoy does an excellent job of explaining her diagnosis and offering you treatment alternatives.

My first visit with Dr. Sherzoy and I am beyond pleased. Her staff is friendly and warm as is she. She is as personable as she is caring and competent. She frequently asked if I was in pain, which I was not because she took the time to make sure I was adequately numbed. She will work with me on price. Dr. Sherzoy is one of the best doctors – of any type – I have ever been to in my 61 years. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

I was in the office for the first time and was very well attended from the moment I arrived at the place. The doctor and her assistants treated me very well. I received the great news that it would not be necessary to extract my wisdom (the previous dentist I passed advised me to extract them). His honesty was sensational and super rewarding.
